PRP for facial rejuvenation
PRP is spread over the skin and worked into micro-channels created by needling (sometimes called the “vampire facial”). It supports collagen production, calms inflammation and can improve overall radiance and fine texture. It’s a skin-quality treatment, not a lift or a volumiser — realistic expectations are “fresher, smoother”, not “dramatically younger”.
PRP for the under-eye area
Delicate under-eye skin often shows ageing first — thinning, crepiness and shadowing that isn’t purely pigment. PRP, delivered gently via cannula or fine needle, can improve skin thickness and texture here, reducing the tired look when the cause is skin quality rather than volume loss or pigmentation (which need different treatments).
PRP for hair restoration
This is where the evidence base is strongest. Injected across thinning areas of the scalp, PRP reduces shedding and increases the thickness and density of existing hair in early-to-moderate pattern hair loss. It works best combined with medical treatment (minoxidil, and finasteride/dutasteride for men) and does not regrow hair where follicles are already gone.
PRP for acne scarring
Combined with microneedling, subcision or laser, PRP appears to improve healing and outcomes for atrophic acne scars — smoother texture and less redness during recovery. It’s an adjunct to the mechanical treatment that actually remodels the scar, not a stand-alone fix for deep scarring.

Safety and downtime
- Because PRP is autologous, there’s no allergy risk from the plasma itself.
- Downtime is mostly from the delivery method: 24–72 hours of redness after microneedling; scalp tenderness for a day or two after hair injections.
- Risks relate to technique and hygiene — infection is rare with proper sterile practice.
- Not suitable with a bleeding or platelet disorder, on anticoagulants without review, with active infection at the site, or during pregnancy/breastfeeding.
